Most flowers on trees and shrubs are white because white flowers are often more attractive to pollinators, such as bees and butterflies, due to their visibility and strong scent. White flowers also stand out against the green foliage, making them easier for pollinators to find. Additionally, white flowers are versatile and can be seen at night, which can attract moths and other nocturnal pollinators. Overall, white flowers have evolved to be a successful strategy for attracting a wide range of pollinators, leading to their prevalence on trees and shrubs. **

No, a drop of black does not make white whiter. In the context of colors, adding black to white will actually make it darker, not whiter. White is the absence of color, so adding black will only result in a darker shade of gray. If you want to make white appear whiter, you would need to use a whitening agent or a brighter white color. **

A dash is a punctuation mark that is used to separate or emphasize information within a sentence. It is longer than a hyphen and can be used in place of commas, parentheses, or colons to create a pause or break in the sentence. Dashes can add emphasis, provide additional information, or set off a phrase for clarity or emphasis. **

When using apposition, both commas and dashes can be used to set off the appositive phrase. Commas are more commonly used and create a lighter separation between the appositive and the rest of the sentence. Dashes, on the other hand, create a stronger break and can be used for emphasis or to draw attention to the appositive. Ultimately, the choice between comma and dash depends on the writer's preference and the desired tone of the sentence. **
